Cambria House with its seven double rooms, is an ideal place for groups of friends, family or business associates to stay.

Groups are always welcome and between May 1st and December 1st we are able to offer Special Group Rates (see below).

Choose to stay at Cambria House for a focused meeting or team building weekend, for a wedding, a reunion, a conference or just a special weekend together where old friends meet up and take advantage of the great cafés, beaches and a wide range of activities.

On arrival each couple will be shown to their own bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Group members can then socialise in the sitting room, on the deck or in the garden area. If required, refreshments can be served. We stock and sell a large range of local wines and beers.

Next morning a delicious breakfast is served around the large dining room table. Later you may want to sample some of the region's finest cuisine at one of the many restaurants in the city or on the waterfront. We are happy to offer suggestions and make reservations for you. A number of Nelson restaurants have private rooms that provide a great place for groups to be together.

Group Activity Weekends

For Groups we can organise special 'Group Activity Weekends'. Depending on your group's interests you may want to combine some activities e.g. play golf in the morning and visit wineries in the afternoon. This is fine just let us know what your group's interests are and we will tailor the weekend's activities to suit.

• Arts & Crafts - Visit craft centres and individual artists working in their own environments.
• The Great Outdoor Adventure Weekend - Activities to choose from include kayaking, 4 wheel motor biking, horseback riding, snow skiing and lots more.

Weddings Wedding Parties have a lovely time staying at Cambria House. The bridal couple are treated to the luxury suite and receive a complimentary bottle of champagne, candles and bubbles for the bath and a late 'honeymoon' breakfast in their room. Care is taken to ensure the bridal couple's stay is extra special. The rest of the bridal party, family or close friends can then stay in the six remaining suites. Everyone has their own space but can choose to socialise if they wish.

Discounts are offered to groups who book at least five rooms and stay for a minimum of two nights. The rate is 20% off our standard charge. This is valid from May 1st through to December 1st. Groups who book five or more rooms are offered exclusive use of the house.
